So I only thought it was little boys who did obnoxious things like shoving objects up their nose. My "perfect" daughter would never do anything like that! Boy was I wrong! Yesterday she proved to me, yet again, the joys of parenthood when during lunch (she was eating peas obviously) she suddenly went "uh oh" and was trying to put her finger deep in her nose. Well, I tried to get her to blow her nose and I didn't see anything, so I thought maybe she was just being weird. Later on that day as I was changing her diaper I noticed something green in her nose. I ran for tweezers and when I got back, nothing. I thought I was going crazy (this was bound to happen sometime!) so I grabbed my mini-maglite and had another looksee. Sure enough, there it was. With the thanks of the light and the tweezers I got the sucker out and was amazed by the size of that thing. Sevy has a little nose and that was a big pea. Oh the many joys of being a mom!

Crazy little girl! I think it is funny that you are holding it in your hand. When I worked at an ER a little girl came in twice, because she had swollowed a penny and it got stuck in her throat both times. Kids are funny.
Silly Sevy. That is too funny. At least the pea matches your shirt! Glad you got it out.
Luckily you were able to get it out without going to the hospital! I guess I should be looking forward to moments like that in my future!
oh no! The nose-stuffing fun begins!
Hi, Katrina:
We're making our blog "invite-only", so will you please email me so I can invite you?
Thanks!

Jeremy did that same thing when he was little. They had a hard time gettin that pea out! At least you could get it out in one piece. What's with kids shovin stuff up their noses?
Of course girls have a history with peas: 'The Princess & the Pea' helps remind us that even little girls can have their bouts with the small green veggie
